Joanna Mitchell BSc MArch PgDip (Arch) ARB
Joanna joined LTS Architects in 2019 as Associate, following several years leading the Education and Culture team for a BD Young Architect of the Year award winning practice. Joanna brings a wealth of experience of a range of project scales and sectors, with over 10 years’ experience as a qualified Architect designing and delivering projects across the UK and internationally.
Following completing her studies at the Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff University, Joanna worked predominately in the public sector, developing a passion for architecture that provides a positive impact on the community’s lives, often within constrained budgets. Building on this early experience of numerous regeneration and vocational education projects, Joanna has built up an understanding of the complexities of business cases, funding streams and the multiple stakeholders involved in such projects. She has a particular interest working within existing estates and campuses – developing sustainable design strategies to provide innovative, flexible spaces whilst working within much loved buildings and maintaining a successful live campus environment.
Working with large international institutions has given Joanna experience in leading projects teams that include a wealth of specialist consultants, ensuring coordination, open communication and early warning procedures are in place to reduce risk to deliver the best final outcome on time and budget.
